Twined knitted mittens

Getwijnd breien……. het gaat niet zo snel omdat je voortdurend de twee draden waarmee je breit om elkaar moet slaan, maar wat wordt het mooi! Een vormvast en dik weefsel met mooie stijlvolle siersteken. De tweede foto toont de duiminzet, op de derde foto zie je binnenkant, let op de regelmatige twining van de draden.
Het patroon van deze wanten vond ik in de Pieceworks van deze maand. Nu nog het koude weer dat zo leuk bij staat! 
Twined knitting……. it is not the fastest knitting technique as you have to twist the two threads with which you knit constantly, but the results are stunning! A fabric that holds it’s shape well with stylish stitches to embellish it. The second photo shows the thumb gusset, the third is the inside, notice the regular twining of the threads.
The patterns of these mittens I found in Pieceworks of this month. Now we only need some cold weather so I can wear them when they are finished!

Wat ziet dat er fijntjes uit. Mooi zo dubbel in een kleur.

Heerlijk toch om een voorraadje wanten en handschoenen te hebben!! Je bent in ieder geval goed voorbereid op de kou die vast gaat komen!:-)
