Classes at De Afstap in Amsterdam 
 
De Afstap, a yarn shop in the city centre of Amsterdam is the pilot shop for Rowan Yarns. The shop is known for its extensive and complete collection of Rowan yarns. At this attractive location that easy to reach Carla Meijsen and Hilly van der Sluis give classes on various innovative and traditional knitting and finishing techniques.

There's a pleasant class space with a large table, excellent light and the smallest kitchen of Amsterdam ;-) on the first floor of the seventeenth-century premises at the Oude Leliestraat.

The Sunday programmes are all inclusive in order for the participants to be able to concentrate entirely on knitting.

A day class is € 65 - € 75

Included in the price is a package (yarn, knitting needles and/or accessories) with a shop price value of 10 euros.Also the lunch, consisting of a deluxe sandwich plus one drink at a restaurant nearby, coffee and cakes in the morning and tea and biscuits/chocolates in the afternoon are included in the price.

Pace of the classes is dependent on the skills and speed of the participants. The class will be given by two teachers, which makes it possible to anticipate the individual differences in pace and specific questions.
The classes are given in Dutch but it is possible for English-speaking knitters to participate in the class.
